“OBJECTIVE STRUCTURED CLINICAL EXAM” FOR THE STUDENTS OF IKU DEPARTMENT OF NURSING IS TAKEN

The “Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE)” for the IKU Department of Nursing first-year students, is taken on April 28, 2022, Monday, between 09.00-17.30. The preparations made for the exams which are exercised on the models or volunteer individuals in the laboratory environment in order to prepare the students to the clinics, which is carried within the scope of the course titled “Fundamentals of Nursing”, were more than six months. BAHÇELİEVLER MUNICIPALITY SOUP KITCHEN AND FAMILY SUPPORT HOUSE TRIP

In cooperation with the Department of Nursing and the Nursing Club, Bahçelievler Municipality Soup Kitchen, which cooks and distributes three kinds of meals to the needy every day of the week, and Bahçelievler Municipality Family Support House, which provides adult-child clothing and blankets to the needy, were visited on Monday, November 15, as part of the "Social Responsibility Projects" course.

EVENT OF ORGAN DONATION WEEK

Within the scope of the "HEM 3001 Internal Medicine Nursing" course given in the Department of Nursing, S.B.Ü. Mehmet Akif Ersoy Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital Organ Transplant Coordinator Gamze Ataman Yıldız was a guest of our university. In the event, which was held with the participation of second year students, information was given on “The Importance of Organ Transplantation, the Pre- and Post-Transplant Process and the Role of the Nurse”.

NURSING DEPARTMENT HOSTED ŞİŞLİ MUNICIPALITY SOCIAL SUPPORT SERVICES MANAGER ÖZNUR SARIAHMETOĞLU

The Department of Nursing hosted Öznur Sarıahmetoğlu, the Social Support Services Manager of Şişli Municipality, within the scope of the HEM3011 Social Responsibility Projects course. In the event held on Monday, October 25, the subject of "Social Responsibility in Terms of Human Rights and Social Work" was conveyed to the students.

“Yoğun Bakım Hemşireliği”

Assist. Prof. Sevda Türen, one of the academics from IKU Department of Nursing, accepted being the co-editor and writer of the many chapters in the book titled “Yoğun Bakım Hemşireliği” (Intensive Care Unit Nursing) published in 2021 July, in order to make an important contribution to the field of nursing. 

“WOMEN SHOULD STAND FOR THEIR HEALTH POLICIES”

Stating that the rate of female employees in health is high, Prof. Dr. Asiye Gül, Head of the Department of Nursing from Kültür University Faculty of Health Sciences, drew attention to their desire to have a say in creating health policies. Prof. Dr. Gül stated that healthcare professionals should be supported by institutional and management policies against burnout and violence.
