Nursing is a health discipline consisting of science and art responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating nursing services for the purpose of protecting, developing and improving the health and well-being of individual, family and society and improving them in case of illness. Nursing is a specialized profession that provides safe and effective patient-centered care that is constantly evolving to fulfill the needs of the society with compassion and dedication, sensitive to ethical principles. Nursing, which can be defined as both art and science, has a fundamental respect for humanism and human dignity.  While nurses perform their duties, they respect the individual, justice and equality, non-harm and privacy and confidentiality.

Nurses play an important role in the health sector. One of the advantages of the program is that nursing is a preferred profession in the society and employment opportunities after graduation are high. After graduating from the Nursing Undergraduate Program, nurses can work effectively in all areas of health services. There is the possibility to work in all health institutions, universities, government and / or private health institutions where preventive, therapeutic or rehabilitation services are provided. They can also continue their master's and doctoral studies.

The aim of Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nursing; to reach excellence in research and practice in nursing education, to advance the limits of science and to train competent nurses with leadership qualities and to contribute to the development of physical, social and mental health of the individual and society.
