Dear Students,
Today, the interest in the field of health is increasing day by day. The nursing profession is an integral part of the health system. Nurses are needed wherever there is a healthy person or a person in need of care. Our profession deals with the autonomous and collaborative health care of sick or healthy individuals of all ages in all settings. Protection, development and maintenance of health, prevention of disease, care of sick and disabled individuals are among the responsibilities of the nursing profession.
As in the world, the need for labor force in health has increased due to factors such as the increase in the elderly population and chronic diseases, and the prolongation of life expectancy in our country. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic we are experiencing has once again revealed how important health services and nursing care are.
Our Department of Nursing works with our experienced and professional academicians to ensure the individual and social development of all students. Our aim is the training of nurses who are respectful to ethical principles, humanistic, have critical thinking skills, researchers, leaders who can meet the needs and ever-changing necessities of the health sector. In addition, we continue our efforts to establish and strengthen national and international collaborations with our stakeholders and academic institutions.
We wish you all success.
