A seminar titled “Combatting Addiction” was organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences on Tuesday, December 23, at the Bahçelievler Campus. Police Officer Ozan Yelgel, a Narkorehber (Drug Awareness Guide), participated in the event as a speaker.
Last year students of the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences gave health training at Family Health Centers affiliated to Bağcılar District Health Directorate between November 1 and December 3, 2025, as part of the "HEM7001 Public Health Nursing" course. With the help of Assist. Prof.
Final-year students from the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, provided health training at the Presidency of Darülaceze between November 1 and December 3, 2025, as part of the "HEM7001 Public Health Nursing" course. Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Kübra İncirkuş, presentations were made to Darülaceze residents on "Proper Hand Washing," "Oral Hygiene and Dental Health," and "Prevention of Smoking." After the presentations, questions from the residents participating in the training were answered, and brochures on the subject were distributed.
Our esteemed academics from the Department of Nursing, Assist. Prof. Aysel Çavuşoğlu and Res. Assist. Zozan Tutuş, attended the “27th National Internal Medicine Congress” held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on between October 8-12, 2025.
The Department of Nursing organized an orientation meeting on Thursday, September 25, 2025, for the first-year students newly enrolled at our university.
Yasemin Balcı, Head of the Directorate of Library and Documentation, and Deputy Head Senem Güneysu delivered a training session on Thursday, September 18, 2025, for final-year students of the Department of Nursing. The session focused on literature search techniques and the effective use of library resources.
In cooperation with Istanbul Kültür University Department of Nursing and Women’s Health Nursing Association, the “Reproductive Health and Endocrine Disruptors” training, which was entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2237-A Project, was held on October 10-11, 2024.
“Basic First Aid Training” was held on 1-2 July 2024, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Asiye Gül and Assist. Prof. Mukaddes Turan Miral, our academicians from the Department of Nursing of Faculty of Health Sciences.
"Sexual Health Literacy and Stigma in Young Women" by Beyza Şahin, conducted with our Head of Department of Nursing, Assist. Prof. Mukaddes Tural Miral and Pınar Savukduran's "Investigation between Perceived Stress and Sleep Quality of the Faculty of Health Sciences", observed with Assist. Prof. Kübra İncirkuş, one of the academicians in our Department of Nursing she was entitled to receive support within the scope of the "2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program" 2023/2 period, carried out by TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs Directorate (BİDEB).
Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing had its first graduates in the 2022-2023 Academic Year. 10 of our 14 graduating students made their choice based on their KPSS results and 8 of them were placed in public institutions.
