Stating that the rate of female employees in health is high, Prof. Dr. Asiye Gül, Head of the Department of Nursing from Kültür University Faculty of Health Sciences, drew attention to their desire to have a say in creating health policies. Prof. Dr. Gül stated that healthcare professionals should be supported by institutional and management policies against burnout and violence.
Stating that women workers in the field of health also struggle on different topics such as job security, intense stress, workload and private life balance, Prof. Dr. Asiye Gül stated that the solution is possible with effective health policies. Pointing out that although the rate of female employees in health is high, they do not have enough say in establishing health policies, Prof. Dr. Gül noted that female laborers in health are more open to physical and psychological exhaustion with their roles in private life, especially motherhood.
